MISCELLANEOUS Productions

MISCELLANEOUS Productions is a hip hop theatre boot camp for youth from the community. We present to the public an original theatrical work every two years, and tour, give free peer-run workshops for at-risk youth, and make films about our performances. We integrate international artistic disciplines with community development models and popular culture, and educate the public and professional artists about the prevention of, and responses to, the challenges facing youth who deal with multiple barriers.

MISCELLANEOUS Productions produces and presents artistic works in collaboration with culturally and socially representative children and youth on the ancestral, traditional and unceded – that means stolen - territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, səlilwətaɬ - Squamish, Musqueam and Tsleil-Waututh peoples. It is an honour to present live performance, theatre, dance, music and digital art on their lands and the lands of their ancestors: their cultures have left a lasting legacy for us to learn from and to cherish.

We would like to humbly thank and honour the Coast Salish people for stewarding the land we occupy, which has been the territory, land, sea and sky, from which our artistic community has grown.
